Our visit to the Auckland War Memorial Museum

Room 11 went to the Auckland War Memorial Museum this week to learn about Dinosaurs. We got the chance to be Junior Paleontologists. After our Dinosaur lesson we walked around the museum. It was a great day and we learnt  a lot about Dinosaurs. The best part of our day was when we got to touch and smell Coprolite...dinosaur poo!

Book Week - Dress up Day

 

On Friday we celebrated Book Week by dressing up as our favourite book character.

We wrote about our day, too!

Today I have dressed as The Cat in the Hat. Last year I was The Cat in the Hat. AF was the winner, well done. Mrs R won the competition for the teachers. Mrs R was a witch. Mrs R got a basket of yummy sweets. I saw Tim Tams in the basket. By DN

Kandiman Visit

Room 11 were visited by the Kandiman today. We learnt how to make lollipops by heating, mixing and cooling the mixture.

Autumn Art

Room 11 has been talking about Autumn. We looked at the colours of the leaves and what happens to them as winter draws near. 

To create our art piece we used paint, our hand, arm and finger.
